Greece Turkey Plant Trees Together Businessmen of Turkey and Greece planted trees for friendship in Kalamata, Greece on Sunday. The tree planting initiative took place within the framework of the Eighth Economy Summit of Turkish Aegean Coasts & Greek Aegean Islands. In the summit, Turkish and Greek businessmen decided to form a Turkish-Greek Friendship Forest to eliminate the damages of the forest fire that broke out in Greece's Peloponnesian peninsula.
Ekrem Demirtas, the chairman of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO), and Georgios Karabatos, the chairman of the Messina Chamber of Commerce & Industry, were the first two people to plant saplings. |
