This is sad stuff... I thought the situation was getting better

Lienen, Panionios German coach was celebrating his 54th birthday today, and was hit on the head by a stone as hooligans on motorbikes threw missiles at the team coach on the way to Thessaloniki’s “Makedonia” international airport, right after Sunday’s 3-1 defeat against PAOK.

He is thinking about leaving Greece...

“The authorities have to deal with violence if we want people to take their wives and children to the stadiums. Many people are afraid to. Last season some Aris fans threw bottles at us. In other countries they would have been taken to prison. It’s just not normal. Violence starts with bottles, it goes on with stones and ends up with knives and gun shots. I cannot accept that. The government and the Super League must act now.”

I don't blame him.

The Greek government and EPO always talk and threaten to do something but it's the same old thing.

Yeah so far nothing has been done. So much for the "Super" league
