No offense to anyone..but why do Greeks in Greece try to speak English?? It's really annoying.... even on tv, they use American phrases and words... they claim to dislike Americans but they all try to act American..anybody?

i know what you mean..the worst thing is that when we come to visit from overseas and we talk Greek to them and they answer us back in English.. do they think Americans are so exceptional... the Greeks are the founders of science, philosophy, math, astronomy etc. WE should be so proud of our language and culture...

The only thing that's mildly annoying is when some friends and relatives there call me "Neek" instead of Niko.
